Marty McFly 2015’s Nike Hyperdunks

Remember those cool Nike High-Top Hyper Dunks that Marty McFly wore during the 2015 scene in Back to the Future 2? Well Nike have just released a load of special edition re-make’s released last month, ok so they don’t have the automatic laces, but they do glow in the dark, and look pretty bad-ass.
The closest I can get to getting my hands on a pair was on ebay but personally id rather eat for a couple of months than starve for a pair of trainers i’d be scared of wearing they’re so sacred. But no doubt there’s some uber emo spoilt kid walking around Brick Lane this very second sporting a pair of these who’s never even seen the frickin film, but heck I’m not one to be jelous or nothing.
After a few google searches I managed to find a fair few petition sites to bring these shoes back to where they belong, the McFLY 2015 project being one of the biggest, here’s one of the ad’s that made brought em back…

Radiohead & Glastonbury
Last week was pretty mental, on the Tuesday I managed to scrape tickets to Radiohead at Victoria Park. This was the first time I had seen them live, and they were so good, really tight and played a nice long set.. maybe not enough classic songs on the set list, but I’m not complaining.

Then the weekend after I travelled the distance with the mrs’ to Worthy Farm where I saw a huge list of great bands over 3 days and nights including Glasvegas, Santagold, Foals, MGMT, Kings of Leon, Martha Wainwright, The Teenagers, Young Knives, Vampire Weekend, White Denim, Last Shaddow Puppets, Amy Winehouse, Jay-z, The Whip, Jack Penate, The Verve. So glad I woke up at 7am and had three phone’s on repeat dial just to get tickets, it was well worth it!
I thought I’d put a little something about both up on me blog - below is the video that the bbc can’t & didn’t show, that was presented before Jay-z’s set on the Pyramid Stage.

Virgin’s New Tool of Destruction & Boredom, Virgin Eye
This week, Virgin one of the World’s largest brands with over 360 companies in it’s pants have released a very swanky site named, Virgin Eye. The site lets you keep an eye on everyone who’s talking about Virgin stakes around the world (how boring!) From Virgin Atlantic, to Virgin Healthcare, to Virgin Online Dating Service, keywords are aggregated as links in a horrid Space Like Userbility Hell hole, all scanned by a Dr. Evil-like “laser.” Nice..

Pimp up your credit card
Something nice for the weekend from Capital One. Their now letting you pimp up your credit card with something beautiful from your flickr account (or any other kind of photo for that matter) pretty nice idea from a pretty bland corporate company.

Explore Disney World in 3D
I’ve always been intrigued as to how big Walt Disney World actually is, I visited the theme park when I was a kid on a family holiday a few years back but since then the park has grown and grown. Today Google have launched an update to their Google Earth Software in which you can explore every inch of Walt Disney World in 3D. With 3D views of all four Theme Parks and over 20 Disney Resort hotels, you can zoom down Main Street USA, fly around Cinderella Castle, explore Spaceship Earth and climb the Tree of Life.
Disney plan on making this a key app in helping you transform the way you plan your Disney vacation, offering attraction descriptions, videos and photos, and links to menus, event calendars, and tickets and reservations.
Taken from the Google Blog:
“Last May, Eric Schmidt and I met to talk about The Walt Disney Company’s focus on technology. We started to explore innovative ways we could work together to bring one of the world’s most magical destinations to Google Earth’s millions of users… and how our guests could be a mouse-click away from visiting the place where dreams come true.
The result is Walt Disney World in 3D an interactive, virtual Walt Disney World completely recreated on Google Earth. This revolutionary project features 3D models of our four Orlando theme parks and more than 20 of Disney’s Resort hotels. Incredible in scope — containing over 1,500 3D models — Walt Disney World Resort in 3D is the most detailed 3D rendering undertaken on Google Earth to date.
From the summit of Space Mountain® to the watery confines of the Pirates of the Caribbean®, we invite you to explore the Walt Disney World Resort in Google Earth. It’s the next best thing to being there.”
